Water is the source of all life on Earth, without it, we literally wouldn’t be here so it’s important to replenish yourself with good quality water. Now if you buy bottled water from the grocery store, have you ever stopped to ask yourself why you do that when you probably have a perfectly effective and clean source of water right in your kitchen? Perhaps the labels, “Purified Water” and “All-Natural Spring Water” have led you to believe that the bottled water found in stores is somehow cleaner.

Don’t Let Those Labels Fool You

If you look at the ingredients list on some plastic water bottles, you’ll find additional ingredients like calcium chloride and sodium bicarbonate that should not be in your supposedly clean drinking water. Such chemicals can put your own health at risk so that’s why using a good water filtration system for the water that’s already flowing through your tap is your safest bet at getting the cleanest and best quality drinking water.

Water Filtration System

A water filtration system works by cleaning the water that comes out of your faucets without adding any potentially hazardous chemicals to it. This keeps the water authentic and at the full capacity to deliver necessary nutrients to your body. Buying a filter can not only save you a lot of money in the long run but it is overall better for your health.

Preserving Your Environment

The plastic bottles are also hazardous to our planet. For starters, manufacturing the bottles requires a lot of resources and energy that results in the release of chemicals like carbon dioxide and fossil fuels into the environment. Plastic water bottles are made up of a chemical called Bisphenol-A (BPA) and traces of it can be found in the drinking water sold in those plastic bottles. This can be harmful because while BPA is found in plastic bottles and containers, it is not supposed to be found in the human body.

In addition to that, the decomposition of plastic water bottles is another issue of its own. The empty water bottles usually end up in landfills but thing is, they are not biodegradable which means they take a really long time to break down, but they don’t break down completely rather they break down into smaller pieces of plastic and end up releasing more harmful chemicals into the atmosphere.

Recommendations

An alternative to plastic water bottles is buying reusable water bottles that are BPA free as well as metal straws. This way, you never have to dispose of them, and you can drink your clean, healthy water without the risk of ingesting plastics or any other contaminants. You can invest in your own health and the health of your planet, it’s easy, stop buying plastic water bottles and start using a water filtration system.
