” How to construct a daily routine that will put you on the path to living your best life”

Research indicates that the simple practice of establishing a daily routine can help you carve out your passions, achieve more of your personal goals, and live a much more fulfilling life.

As such – are you hoping to establish the perfect daily routine to help you on the path to living your best life? If so, these eight top tips will help you as you look to improve your productivity and daily wellness.

  1. Begin with a list

Here is the thing – everyone’s routine needs to be unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all routine that will help you live a better life. We all need our unique routines. No two people are alike, so it is important to find what works for YOU instead of trying out someone else’s routine and feeling like everything is wrong or off-balance with your life because they do not suit your everyday needs! Grab a notebook and a pen and make a list of what you want to achieve daily. Your list might include:

  • Mindfulness meditation
  • Work goals
  • Family and social activities
  • Exercise
  • Foods/drinks that you want to enjoy

You don’t have to worry about being too specific or including every tiny detail. It’s impossible for most people, (such as brushing your teeth), but your list should contain the main things you want to achieve in your day so you can hold yourself to account if you don’t achieve them.

2. Structure Your Day

Depending on your list of priorities, it’s important to structure your day to ensure you will achieve what you set out to. An excellent way to structure your day is to get your biggest and most important task out of the way first, as it allows you to be more productive throughout the rest of the day. It is conceptualized brilliantly in a philosophy known as Eat That Frog:

“If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.”

Structuring your day so that you eat your frogs – whatever they are – early in the morning will help you follow your routine and achieve your daily goals.

3. Get Specific with Timing

For some people, it’s not enough to say that you’re going to do a particular task in the morning or afternoon. Rather, it’s much better to allocate a period in which you can complete a particular task. And when you’re working out your timings, it’s best to give yourself more time than you need. Did you know that when we reach our goals, it makes us feel better? It has a lot of benefits and will help with achieving what’s on your mind.

4. Track Your Progress

You need to develop a system that enables you to easily track your progress against your daily schedule. Otherwise, how do you know that your routine works for you? Whether you keep things simple with a list jotted down in your notebook or downloaded a task management tool like routine to help you, you need to come up with a system that works. And if your routine doesn’t currently work, it’s time to make some changes so you’re able to meet your daily targets.

5. Incorporate Rewards

The final thing you need to do once you’ve established your routine is incorporate rewards into your life. We all like to treat ourselves in different ways, whether to spend a few hours with the kids, on the golf course or out for a seaside stroll. When you’ve decided what you want your rewards to be, specifically include them in your routine and treat yourself when you have finished your daily tasks. After all, this fifth step is the perfect way to improve your well-being and to reap the rewards of a well-planned routine.

  • 6. Be creative and make it Exciting.

When you start a new routine, it can be boring and difficult at first. The best way to make your mornings enjoyable is by finding ways that will keep your workout and you interested in what’s going on around the house! Try getting creative with workouts or cooking classes, so you have an outside source for distraction when needed; anything does work well enough if done efficiently (and safely).

  • 7. Encourage positive and simple Affirmation.

Affirmations can be simple and effective way to inspire yourself every day. You can positively affirm your strength, capability, or those around you with some powerful words that will help build confidence!

Affirming phrases might not only sound great but also make it easier for us when we need them most because our thoughts become focused on what’s possible rather than how impossible things seem right now. You might be wondering how to use affirmations. One way is simply by saying them out loud or writing them down to build your confidence.

  • 8. Start your day with a song you can dance to!

One of the best ways to be productive is using an app on your phone. Many apps can help you get things done, whether it is downloading a song or exercise videos. I’ve found that starting my mornings right has helped me be more productive and creative throughout the rest of my day. It is especially important to me since I know what time slot for certain tasks will fit into each workday.
